BLOGGING VOLUNTEER - - We are looking for a part-time volunteer willing and able to commit 4-6 hours per week to assist with content creation for our blog. The purpose of our blog is to (a) provide meaningful commentary on relevant social and cultural issues, and (b) to highlight the widespread cultural diversity that exists in all aspects of society, such as art, fashion, food, music, etc.
Preferred Skills and Background: (1) Blogging or writing experience related to the relevant topics and themes covered by our blog; (2) Willingness to reach out to and engage with other bloggers in order to expand the reach of our blog; (3) Self-motivated worker, able to meet weekly deadlines.
Primary Job Responsibilities: (1) Creation of 2-3 blog posts per week and (2) Recruitment of other bloggers, plus delegation of blogging topics.
ART PROGRAM VOLUNTEER - - We are looking for a part-time volunteer willing and able to commit 4-6 hours per week to assist with development and expansion of our art program. Art is one of the oldest and most important aspects of any culture and represents a unique expression of individuals and groups from every corner of the globe. Hybrid Nation's art program is intended to highlight and showcase the wonderful culture and diversity found in many forms of artistic expression, from poetry to photography to painting and much more. Our goal is to work with artists from all over the world and from every part of life to increase awareness about an important, but not often recognized, aspect of the diversity that exists amongst cultures all over the world.
Preferred Skills and Background: Experience as an artist or demonstrable interest in art.
Primary Job Responsibilities: (1) Recruitment of artists to participate in the Hybrid Nation Art Program; (2) Development of community-based art projects and events.
GRAPHIC DESIGN/GRAPHIC MEDIA CONTENT VOLUNTEER - - We are looking for a part-time volunteer willing and able to commit 4-6 hours per week to assist with the creation of graphic content to be used on our website, social media platforms and advertising material.
Preferred Skills and Background: (1) Some level of education in graphic design; (2) Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and other Adobe programs; (3) Photography and photo editing experience is a plus.
Primary Job Responsibilities: (1) Bi-weekly development of new graphic content to be used on our website and social media platforms; (2) Assisting with the development of look books, item sheets and other documents that include graphic media.
SOCIAL MEDIA & MARKETING VOLUNTEER - - We are looking for a part-time volunteer willing and able to commit 4-6 hours per week to assist with social media and marketing.
Preferred Skills and Background: (1) Previous experience in marketing, including the development and execution of social media and email marketing campaigns; (2) Working knowledge of major social media platforms, such as Instagram, Facebook and Twitter; (3) Graphic design and/or photography background is a plus.
Primary Job Responsibilities: (1) Development and execution of social media and email marketing campaigns; (2) Engagement with other brands/individuals on behalf of Hybrid Nation; (3) Assist with planning and development of social media calendars.
